    Explore a Musical Assessment

Assessments help VMA discuss your goals and an appropriate learning pathway. A booking does not guarantee a particular instructor or lesson time.

    A playful path through music.

Greg holds an Advanced Diploma in Music Performance from Cambrian College, where he studied classical guitar. His background includes two years of pedagogy and teaching experience with guitar and ukulele students across a wide range of ages and interests.

He enjoys rock, blues and metal, and brings that enthusiasm into lessons. His teaching combines ear training, technique and repertoire with practical, learner-shaped practice — including MuseScore play-along notation so students can read and play along at the same time.

    How Greg teaches.

Greg teaches guitar, ukulele and bass, across classical, acoustic and electric guitar. His approach is playful and interactive: he tailors ear training, technique, repertoire and practice to the learner in front of him rather than moving every student through the same material.

Tell VMA about the learner's age, musical interests and any instrument already at home, and we can discuss a suitable starting point, teacher fit and current availability.
